Site Development Blog

I have now (30 Jan) added a group module. The aim is to allow users to form groups - based on Parish groups. Then, they can use the forum, blogs and so on to communicate with each other, and their sub-site also proides them with a way to advertise themselves to users of this site. (To read the group informaiton you do NOT have to be loged in to the site (although that would be preffered!)

Here we are then - PPC's website. This is here to allow us to continue our discussions outsie of the meetings, and is a result of our agreement at the January 13th Meeting.
So far we have:
- Secure logins - no one can log in without the administrator's setting up their account. However anyone can browse the content as we want to be an open group.
- Users Blogs - I think that users / sub-groups may want to maintain a blog of what they are doing so that others can read about it.
- Forums - a facility to have on line discussions, particularly valuable when groups need to communicate in an open way.
- Pages - a 'page' is a piece of static content, where we may publish completed reports etc.
- Stories - a story is a dynamic page, with comment facilities, changes are tracked and so on. Its a way for several people to contribute to the creation of documents.
Do please let me know how you feel we can improve the site!
God Bless;
