2007 marks the 60th anniversary of the Teams Charter, so it is an appropriate time to remind ourselves of our heritage and to assess what our individual priorities should be for the next few years.
With Dr Jack Dominian to inspire us with the latest Church thinking on Love and Marriage, we will begin to understand the new orientation “Teams of Our Lady, Communities of Couples, reflecting the love of God”. Above all we will leave with a clear sense of some specific actions we can take as individuals, couples and teams.
Swanwick is an ecumenical retreat centre and all rooms have en-suite facilities. Bookings will be processed in order of receipt. The price per adult is £125. It is hoped to run a children’s programme provided definite bookings with deposits are received not later than 1st March 2007. To encourage families with children to come, the charge per child will be just £25, payable in full when booking.
The Gathering starts with dinner on the Friday evening (29th June) and will finish on Sunday afternoon (1st July). The Hayes Conference Centre Swanwick (DE55 1AU) is about 20 minutes drive from Junction 28 of the M1. Full details will be sent to those attending nearer the time. There are flights to East Midlands Airport (about 20 miles away) from Aberdeen, Belfast, Cork and Dublin.
The super regional team looks forward to welcoming team members from Europe, Africa and the Caribbean to what we hope will be an exciting and stimulating experience.
